Korea Rail Network Authority Forms Dedicated Task Force for New Administration's Policy Implementation

The Korea Rail Network Authority announced on June 30 that it has established a dedicated organization to identify and implement railway-related policy tasks of the new administration.

The new organization is named the "Lee Jaemyung Administration Policy Implementation Task Force (TF) TGF+I." The name reflects the intention to combine the administration's proposed goals of Technology advancement, Growth for all, and a Fair ecosystem with the Authority's own Innovation capabilities.

Lee Haeseong, the president of the Korea Rail Network Authority, will serve as the head of the task force. Four teams have been formed according to strategic policy areas. Each team is led by a division head (at the executive director level) whose work is closely related to the tasks, and team members consist of relevant department and division heads. This structure is designed to ensure both policy implementation expertise and operational effectiveness.

The Authority has also decided to operate an advisory group composed of internal and external experts to enhance the credibility and effectiveness of its policy tasks. It plans to establish a management system that covers the entire process, from identifying policy tasks to linking them with national policy agendas, as well as formulating and reviewing implementation plans. The organization aims to serve as a policy implementation platform that can proactively respond to future national strategic tasks.

Lee Seonghae, president of the Authority, stated, "The Lee Jaemyung Administration Policy Implementation TF is a core organization for effectively carrying out national policy tasks and leading the future of the railway industry," adding, "We will strive to achieve real growth in the railway sector by leveraging the expertise and execution capabilities of the TF."
