This regular session was held for 17 days from June 10, focusing on legislative activities aimed at improving the lives of county residents, as well as reviewing budgets and policies on local issues. In particular, effective ordinances for the safety and welfare of residents and the establishment of a sustainable agricultural environment were intensively discussed.

The "Ordinance on Supporting Missing Person Search Activities," proposed by Councilor Ho-Yeol Oh, aims to establish an institutional foundation for a prompt and systematic response system in the event of a missing person.

The ordinance specifies administrative support measures, such as funding for search equipment, supplies, and personnel deployment. Councilor Oh stated, "In missing person searches, the golden time is crucial," and added, "With the enactment of this ordinance, a practical response system has been established to protect the lives and safety of our residents."

The "Ordinance on Creating a Youth-Friendly City," proposed by Councilor Hyun-Chan Kim, is characterized by establishing a foundation to encourage young people to settle in the region and to expand their participation in policy-making.

The ordinance includes provisions for formulating a basic youth policy plan, operating a dedicated department, and establishing youth participation bodies, reflecting a strategic approach to address the crisis of local depopulation.

Councilor Kim stated, "A region that loses its youth has no future," and added, "With this ordinance, we can move toward making Uiseong a place where young people return and want to stay."

The "Ordinance on Supporting Safe Disposal of Agricultural By-products," proposed by Councilor Min-Ju Kim, includes the operation of a "crushing support team" to ensure that by-products such as stems and branches generated after farming can be disposed of without illegal burning.

By prioritizing support for areas adjacent to forests and for elderly farmers, the ordinance is evaluated as increasing effectiveness on the ground. Councilor Kim emphasized, "This ordinance will substantially reduce the burden on elderly farmers and greatly contribute to creating a safer working environment in rural areas."

Choi Hunsik, Chairperson of the Uiseong County Council, stated, "Enacting community-oriented ordinances that originate from the voices of residents is the most important duty of the council," and added, "We will continue to do our best through field- and resident-centered legislative activities so that residents can truly experience changes in their lives."

With the enactment of these ordinances, the Uiseong County Council is being recognized for addressing administrative blind spots and taking a step closer to ensuring the sustainability of the local community.
