The Chungnam East Child Protection Agency held its official opening ceremony in Singwan-dong, Gongju City, Chungcheongnam-do on the 26th and has begun full-scale operations.


Approximately 100 people attended the event, including officials from the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government, Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Council, Gongju City Hall, Gongju City Council, Buyeo County Office, Cheongyang County Office, as well as local residents and representatives from related organizations.


The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by Park Dongsung, CEO of the Glocal Center, followed by congratulatory remarks from Jeon Hyeongsik, Vice Governor for Political Affairs of Chungcheongnam-do, Kim Minsu, Chairperson of the Health, Welfare and Environment Committee of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Council, and Choi Woncheol, Mayor of Gongju City.


The Chungnam East Child Protection Agency plans to focus on the intensive management and prompt response to child abuse cases, enhance work efficiency by establishing cooperative systems among related organizations, and improve the detection rate of child abuse, mainly in Gongju City, Buyeo County, and Cheongyang County.


In particular, a total of 14 professionals, including clinical psychologists and counselors, have been assigned to support smooth counseling and treatment for abused children and their guardians.


Director Yoon Yeobok stated, "We will take the lead in preventing child abuse, helping abused children recover, and strengthening family functions through close cooperation with the local community," adding, "We will do our best to create an environment where children can grow up safely."
