On Truth Social: "A Pardon for the Hero"
Netanyahu Indicted for Bribery, Breach of Trust, and Fraud

On June 25 (local time), US President Donald Trump praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as "the greatest warrior in the history of Israel" and argued that his trial should be canceled.
President Trump wrote on his own social networking service, Truth Social, "Bibi (the nickname for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) and I fought a battle through hell together against Iran, Israel's long-time adversary and a very cunning and powerful opponent," adding, "Bibi was more excellent, sharper, and stronger than anyone."
He continued, "It is unimaginable to me that someone who has given so much would be subjected to a witch hunt," insisting, "He deserves far better treatment."
He went on to say, "The trial of Bibi Netanyahu should be immediately canceled, or this national hero should be granted a 'pardon.'"
Prime Minister Netanyahu is the first sitting prime minister to be indicted on criminal charges. The investigation into him began in 2016, and he is currently on trial for charges including bribery, breach of trust, and fraud. It was expected that the final verdict would take several years.
