[Market Focus] Finetec Rises as SDT Unveils 'Quantum Computer Core' Cryogenic Cooler... Investment and Partnership Highlighted

Finetec is showing strong performance. This is believed to be influenced by the news that SDT will unveil 'Cryorack,' the first domestically manufactured cryogenic cooler in Korea. Finetec has a development partnership with SDT in the quantum field.

As of 10:53 a.m. on June 23, Finetec was trading at 841 won, up 7.27% from the previous day.

According to industry sources on this day, SDT is reportedly in export contract negotiations with European materials, parts, and equipment (SoBuJang) companies ahead of the official launch of Cryorack.

Cryorack is a core device for quantum computers that cools superconducting quantum chips (QPUs) to an ultra-low temperature environment, maintaining their quantum state. This device creates an ultra-low temperature below 10 mK (millikelvin), equivalent to minus 273°C, allowing quantum computers to operate stably.

The company expects that Cryorack will contribute to the localization of quantum cooling infrastructure, which has so far relied on overseas imports.

Meanwhile, last year, Finetec made a strategic investment in SDT and established a partnership. The two companies began joint development of an 'inspection solution.' SDT is building quantum sensing solution software using its quantum standard technology, and this software is implemented through a physical platform made with Finetec's high-precision, high-accuracy display equipment and secondary battery equipment technology.

According to an SDT official, "Finetec and SDT both agree that solutions based on quantum engineering have significant potential value to contribute across various industries, and we will closely cooperate to enhance the performance of our products applying these solutions," adding, "In the future, SDT will continue to be responsible for building software based on quantum technology, while Finetec will handle hardware, creating synergy through this partnership."
