Assignment to the City and Five Districts for One Year Starting in July
The Gwangju Office of Education will dispatch education administration officials to local governments in preparation for the integration of early childhood education and care.
On June 22, the Office announced that starting in July, it will assign 15 education administration officials to Gwangju City and its five districts for a period of one year. This measure is being implemented to enhance understanding of childcare administration, which the Office will take on after the integration, and to prepare for the transfer of responsibilities.
The officials will be assigned as follows: three to Gwangju City, two each to Dong-gu, Seo-gu, and Nam-gu, and three each to Buk-gu and Gwangsan-gu. The allocation was determined based on factors such as the workload and number of institutions related to childcare administration. Their duties will include analyzing childcare operation systems, developing work manuals, proposing policy improvements, and establishing cooperation between the Office of Education and local governments.
Through this dispatch, the Gwangju Office of Education aims to ensure consistency and professionalism in childcare policy and to lay the groundwork for the integration of early childhood education and care in collaboration with local governments.
