Ju Haknyeon Breaks Silence on Drinking Party Controversy, Denies Allegations
Claims Photo Leak Was "Tip-Off from a Woman at the Scene"
Ju Haknyeon, formerly of the group The Boyz, and Japanese AV (adult video) actress-turned-influencer Asuka Kirara, who has been embroiled in prostitution allegations, have both strongly denied the accusations and called for an end to unfounded speculation.
On June 21, Kirara addressed the controversy on her Instagram, stating, "There are all sorts of wild speculations going around, but the Shukan Bunshun article has not even been published yet." She continued, "Do not spread false information. I have never, in my life, engaged in sexual acts for money in private. Of course, that is also true in this case."
She went on to explain the situation that sparked the controversy, saying, "A woman I met for the first time at the gathering seemed to like Mr. Ju Haknyeon. That woman took photos and sold them to Shukan Bunshun," suggesting that the report was based on a deliberate tip-off.
The controversy began when a Japanese media outlet reported on June 18 that Ju Haknyeon and Asuka Kirara had hugged and engaged in physical contact at a private bar in Tokyo. Witnesses claimed that Ju Haknyeon continued drinking with acquaintances until dawn and was seen displaying affectionate behavior with Kirara at the venue.
Ju Haknyeon's agency, One Hundred, announced on June 16?prior to the report?that he would be suspending activities due to personal reasons. On June 18, as the controversy escalated, they officially confirmed his departure from the group. Subsequently, some media outlets raised allegations of prostitution, further intensifying the situation.
In response, Ju Haknyeon stated, "It is true that I was at the gathering with acquaintances, but there were absolutely no illegal acts as claimed in the article." On June 20, he issued a second statement, taking a firm stance: "If there is any evidence that I engaged in prostitution, make it public immediately." He also asserted, "I have never left the team, nor have I agreed to the termination of my exclusive contract."
However, on the same day, One Hundred issued an official statement rebutting his claims: "We have terminated our exclusive contract with Ju Haknyeon in accordance with the terms specified in the contract. It was a fair and reasonable decision." The agency further warned, "If Ju Haknyeon continues to evade responsibility and repeat distorted claims, we will take all possible legal measures and respond firmly."
Meanwhile, Asuka Kirara debuted as an adult video actress in 2007 and has been active as an influencer since her retirement in 2020. She recently attracted attention by revealing that she is in a relationship with YouTuber Hirok with marriage in mind.
