Prosecutors explained that a total of 28 people have been indicted on charges of obstructing military service under military law and document forgery under criminal law. This includes nine celebrities such as Wang Dalu, as well as 15 individuals including a well-known chef, a music producer, a businessman, and a doctor, along with four brokers who assisted them in evading military service.

In particular, in Wang's case, he reportedly became unable to undergo a hospital examination for the purpose of evading military service due to long-term overseas filming commitments. In October last year, he is said to have handed over his ID card, health insurance card, and 3.6 million New Taiwan dollars (approximately 160 million Korean won) to a broker and requested that the broker undergo the examination on his behalf. According to reports, a source stated that 24 of those indicted for military service evasion submitted forged medical certificates to the authorities, pretending to suffer from serious illnesses such as severe hypertension, as instructed by the broker, and applied for exemption from military service through a re-examination process.

Regarding this, it was found that from 2016 to January of this year, the broker received between 200,000 and 500,000 New Taiwan dollars (approximately 9.2 million to 23 million Korean won) from each of the 24 individuals.

Previously, after being arrested in February on suspicion of evading military service, Wang Dalu completed training at the Central Taichung Chenggongling recruit training center for a one-year alternative service assignment, and began his alternative service at the Social Welfare Division of the Taipei City Department of Social Affairs in March.

Wang Dalu is a star actor who gained popularity in the Greater China region by starring in films such as "Our Times" and "Mischievous Kiss."
