Jeollanam-do announced that the "New Government National Policy Response Task Force," launched on the 4th with Governor Kim Youngrok as its head, will fully activate its response system to ensure that key regional issues are reflected in national policy tasks, in line with the National Policy Planning Committee launched on the 16th.

The province plans to focus its efforts on making proposals to the National Policy Planning Committee and relevant ministries, centering on 100 "Jeonnam Future Development Proposal Tasks" aimed at reflecting Jeollanam-do's key regional issues in the new government's national policy, and 77 "Major Jeonnam Pledge Implementation Tasks" for fulfilling regional pledges.

The main proposals include: the establishment of a national medical school at an integrated university; the creation of an energy new town such as the Solaseado AI Super Cluster Hub; a mega project for the major transformation of the petrochemical and steel industries; the establishment of an AI advanced agriculture and livestock convergence district; the creation of a space launch vehicle industry convergence cluster; and the development of Muan International Airport as a leading gateway airport in Northeast Asia. These proposals include numerous core policies designed not only to secure future growth engines for Jeollanam-do but also to drive national development.

Going forward, the province will use its Central Cooperation Office in Seoul as a base, with the governor, vice governor, directors, and senior officials frequently stationed there. They plan to establish a close consultation system with the National Policy Planning Committee, the National Assembly, and central ministries, making every effort to ensure that Jeollanam-do's key issues are adopted as national policy tasks.

Governor Kim stated, "Since the new government's policy direction aligns with Jeollanam-do's major projects, this is a golden opportunity to drive the future development of Jeonnam. We will focus our administrative capabilities to ensure that Jeonnam's key issues are ultimately reflected in the national policy agenda, contributing not only to the province's development but also to the advancement of the nation as a whole."
