Police: "No Suspicion of Drunk Driving, Considering Whether to Press Charges"
An accident occurred on the afternoon of the 12th near the Seoul Customs Intersection in Nonhyeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where an 80-year-old driver, Mr. A, drove onto the sidewalk. Gangnam Fire Station
On a nearby road in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a sedan driven by a woman in her 80s crashed onto the sidewalk, injuring four pedestrians.
According to Yonhap News Agency and the police and fire authorities on June 12, at around 1:10 p.m. that day, a Grandeur driven by a woman in her 80s, identified as Ms. A, went over the sidewalk near the Seoul Customs Intersection in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and crashed into a restaurant. As a result, one person on the sidewalk suffered serious injuries and three others sustained minor injuries.
All of the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment and are reported to be in stable condition. It was also determined that Ms. A was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The police plan to conduct a preliminary drug test on Ms. A and will investigate the circumstances of the accident to determine whether to press charges.
