Founder of "Cirque du Soleil" Joins as Strategic Partner
The renowned American hotel chain, Kessler Collection, has joined Incheon City's K-Con Land project.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on June 12 that Richard Kessler, Chairman of the Kessler Collection, visited Incheon City Hall and submitted a Letter of Intent (LOI) for investment to Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeongbok.
As part of its strategy to expand into the Asian market, the Kessler Collection plans to develop a luxury boutique hotel and a multimedia cultural complex at Cheongna Investment Block 6, the site designated for K-Con Land.
The Canadian company Lune Rouge Group, known for establishing Cirque du Soleil, will participate as a strategic partner. Lune Rouge Group is expected to be responsible for planning and producing entertainment content that combines technology and culture, such as immersive experiences and multimedia shows.

The Kessler Collection cited several reasons for its investment decision: Incheon's status as a global gateway city, its abundant tourism resources, and its dynamic growth potential. In particular, the company highlighted the high accessibility provided by Incheon International Airport and the favorable investment environment of the Incheon Free Economic Zone, explaining that these factors make it an optimal location for entering the Asian market.
K-Con Land is a project aimed at creating a complex cluster centered on the Incheon Free Economic Zone to foster the video, culture, and tourism industries, as well as to produce and export content. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to accelerate the project as global companies express investment intentions and further discussions continue.
Mayor Yoo stated, "We will cooperate to ensure that the Kessler Collection's unique concepts and services enhance Incheon's appeal and create synergy in the development of K-Con Land."
Chairman Richard Kessler said, "Incheon will become an important base for the Kessler Collection's Asia strategy," adding, "We aim to be an exemplary partner that grows together with the local community."
