On the previous day, Chairman Yang held a data innovation seminar at the Yeouido headquarters for about 100 data and AI employees from the holding company and major affiliates, where he made these remarks.
This seminar was organized to advance personalized financial services for each customer. Topics discussed included strategies for developing customer-tailored services through financial data analysis, cases of creating group synergy through joint data analysis and modeling, and examples of applying marketing prediction models. On-site, there were also in-depth discussions and networking sessions between data experts and practitioners.
Chairman Yang emphasized, "Data only holds true value when the problem to be solved and the information to be gained are clearly defined, rather than simply being collected for its own sake." He added, "It is also important to provide education that spreads the latest technologies for data interpretation internally, and I urge everyone to do their best in self-development as top data professionals."
Meanwhile, KB Financial is pursuing digital financial innovation by introducing generative AI agents to proactively establish an artificial intelligence transformation (AX) foundation. Last month, the company became the first in the financial sector to establish the group-wide generative AI platform, 'KB GenAI Portal.'
