The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on June 10 that it has reached this conclusion regarding the case in which Jang was accused of causing injury during rape.

Jang was under police investigation after being accused of sexually assaulting his secretary in November 2015, when he was serving as vice president at a university in Busan. He was found dead on March 31 in an officetel in Gangdong District, Seoul.

Previously, the Gangdong Police Station in Seoul, which was investigating Jang's death, concluded on April 5 that there was no evidence of a crime related to his death and closed the investigation.
