Webcash, Creator of KyungriNara, Announces "Second Founding"... All Products to Be AI-Based

Financial AI Agent Conference: Pilot Launch of "BranchQ"
Introducing the AI Roadmap for Comprehensive Operations, from Banking to Customer Management

Webcash Group, a first-generation fintech (finance + technology) company, is transforming itself into a "financial AI agent" company by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into all its products used for banking, customer management, and more. Webcash was the first company in Korea to introduce internet banking for business-to-business (B2B) transactions and also operates "KyungriNara," a fund management solution for small and medium-sized enterprises.

On June 10, Webcash Group held the "Financial AI Agent Conference" at Conrad Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul, where it outlined its AI management vision. The event was attended by about 200 representatives from the finance, IT, and public sectors.

Yoon Wansu, Vice Chairman of Webcash Group, unveiled the company's financial AI agent strategy and new products at the event. He explained that the company plans to fully utilize its self-developed financial AI agent "AI Chief Financial Officer (CFO)" as well as AI cash management (CMS), AI banking (Agent Banking), and AI management information systems (MIS).

The core strategy is to equip all products with the self-developed financial AI agent, the "AI CFO." The AI CFO was built based on open-source models such as Meta's Llama and Alibaba's Qwen.

Yoon explained that the AI CFO follows customers throughout the day, providing comprehensive information such as daily cash reports, collection amounts, payment flows for deliveries, and transaction status after bank closing hours.

For example, it can respond in real time to queries such as "Tomorrow is payday, so I need to check if available funds are sufficient, but what was last month's payroll amount?" or "Are the funds currently in the demand deposit account enough to pay salaries?"

The company is also restructuring its organization and workforce related to AI and changing the way employees work. First, it will operate a dedicated AI organization called the "AI Center," consisting of about 100 people. All business units will participate in the development and operation of new AI products.

The way of working will also be redesigned. Developers will shift from coding to designing training data, while planners will move from screen-centric tasks to becoming learning consultants. Publishing and design teams will also be reorganized to focus on functionality.

On this day, Webcash launched a pilot version of "BranchQ," a new product in its "Branch" fund management solution for mid-sized companies. Starting with BranchQ, the company plans to convert all major products to AI-based systems within this year, thereby establishing a "financial AI ecosystem." The company intends to fully transition its nine major enterprise fund management solutions?including KyungriNara, Branch, and InhouseBank?to an AI agent-based system.

Kang Wonjoo, CEO of Webcash, stated, "The era has arrived in which AI automates all aspects of financial operations and supports managers' decision-making," adding, "Webcash will begin a 'second founding' level of transformation by being the first in Korea to reconstruct all B2B fintech products based on AI agents."
