Coexistence with the Local Community
The Daegu Gyeongbuk Headquarters of Korea Expressway Corporation has launched a free vehicle maintenance initiative to support the mobility of transportation vulnerable groups.
Daegu Gyeongbuk Headquarters of Korea Expressway Corporation Leads Support for Transportation Vulnerable Groups with Free Maintenance for 218 'Nadri Call' Vehicles.
On June 4, the Daegu Gyeongbuk Headquarters of Korea Expressway Corporation (headed by Yoo Hosik) provided free maintenance services for 'Nadri Call' vehicles, which are operated by Daegu Metropolitan City to support the mobility of transportation vulnerable groups, at the 3rd Public Parking Lot of the Daegu Dyeing Industrial Complex.
'Nadri Call' is a customized mobility support service operated by Daegu Metropolitan City since 2009 for transportation vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities and the elderly, who experience difficulties using public transportation.
This free maintenance covered 218 Nadri Call special vehicles and included not only the replacement of consumables such as wipers and washer fluid, but also essential inspections and maintenance for basic vehicle performance, such as air conditioner refrigerant gas charging and diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning.
In addition, on-site maintenance consultations and self-inspection training were provided, contributing to the improvement of drivers' vehicle management capabilities.
Yoo Hosik, head of the Daegu Gyeongbuk Headquarters, stated, "It is meaningful that we can give back to the local community by donating our maintenance expertise as a form of talent sharing," and added, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as a public institution through mutual cooperation with the local community and practical support for transportation vulnerable groups."
This free maintenance initiative is regarded as a representative example of utilizing the human and technical resources of a public institution for the benefit of socially disadvantaged groups, and is evaluated as having a positive impact on the local community by improving mobility convenience for transportation vulnerable groups.
