Wanju County to Hold 'Daedunsan Festival' on June 7-8

Performances by Kim Soyeon, Kim Yeeun, Hyun Jinwoo, and More

Jeonbuk Wanju County will hold the Daedunsan Festival from June 7 to 8 under the slogan, "Save Your Challenge in Your Album, Daedunsan Moment!"

According to the county on June 4, this year's festival will showcase a variety of performances, food, and hands-on programs, all set against the majestic and grand scenery of Daedunsan.

The opening ceremony on the main stage will feature performances by Kim Soyeon, a singer from Miss Trot 3, Kim Yeeun from the Korea-Japan Top Ten Show, and Hyun Jinwoo, an honorary citizen singer of Wanju County.

The festival venue will also offer an abundance of food. Visitors can enjoy hearty dishes such as pizza, tteokgalbi, and handmade burger sandwiches, as well as a wide selection of agricultural products and processed foods, including dried persimmons, king oyster mushrooms, and various types of sauces, all prepared to satisfy every palate.

Programs befitting a mountain festival will also add to the festivities. The Daedunsan non-competitive hiking competition, the Machundae hiking event, and the Milky Way Trail trekking course?perfect for a leisurely walk?will offer all nature and mountain lovers a chance to create new memories away from everyday life.

In addition, a range of hands-on activities such as VR experiences, extreme rope challenges, various craft-making sessions, and a spinning wheel game will be available, ensuring that families can enjoy the festival without any burden.

There will also be plenty of discount events. Wearing a wristband distributed at the festival information booth will allow visitors to receive a round-trip discount on the cable car, as well as 10% and 30% discounts at the Daedunsan Hotel cafe and sauna, respectively. Nearby restaurants will offer all menu items at a 10% discount, making it affordable to enjoy local cuisine.
