Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) has signed a friendship exchange agreement with Jining Polytechnic, a leading public vocational education institution in Shandong Province, China, to expand practical exchanges and strengthen student exchange programs.

Established in 1970, Jining Polytechnic has approximately 27,000 enrolled students and operates specialized departments in various fields, including biochemical engineering, art and design, industry-academia cooperation, and entrepreneurship support. The institution is recognized as an advanced model of vocational education in China, with a strong emphasis on practical training.
The agreement was signed on May 30, 2025, at the main conference hall of Dong-A University's Seunghak Campus. The event was attended by key representatives from both universities, including Kang Daeseong, Vice President of Dong-A University; Park Hyuntae, Director of International Affairs; Lee Seongho, Dean of the College of Design and Environment; and Li Zhongguo, President of Jining Polytechnic.
Under the agreement, the two universities plan to pursue practical cooperation in various areas, including the exchange of academic materials and information, joint research and seminar organization, and student and faculty exchanges.
Following the signing ceremony, a meeting for industry-academia cooperation was held, hosted by Dong-A University's College of Design and Environment. In-depth discussions took place on topics such as vocational education and employment linkage between Jining Polytechnic and domestic companies.
Jining Polytechnic presented Dong-A University with a plaque for the "Liuyedaeseonggongbang," a symbol of Korea-China cultural exchange, which will serve as the foundation for upcoming cultural and language exchange programs involving students from both universities.
Kang Daeseong, Vice President of Dong-A University, stated, "With Dong-A University's strengths in industry-academia cooperation and internationalization, this agreement marks a turning point for expanding our practical, global education platform."
Li Zhongguo, President of Jining Polytechnic, said, "We hope that, under our shared vision of practical education, both universities will create a model case for vocational education in Asia together."
