"Goryeong County to Nurture Future Talents with Advanced Creative Convergence Program for Elementary Students"

The Goryeong County Education Development Committee, chaired by Sung Hyunduk, announced that it will operate the "Advanced Creative Convergence Program" for local elementary school students starting in July, aiming to nurture creative talents who will lead the future society.

This program is an advanced version of the "Visiting Creative Convergence Program" currently offered to elementary schools. It focuses on strengthening students' future competencies through understanding and hands-on practice in core fields of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as AI, coding, and robotics.

The program will run every Saturday for eight weeks, from July 12 to August 30, with both morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session, "Python Challenge," covers the basic grammar and concepts of the Python programming language and guides students through the process of creating their own programs. The afternoon session, "My Robot Friend," is a systematic, practice-oriented class that includes understanding the basic structure of robots and designing and implementing AI robot scenarios using coding.

Each session is limited to 20 participants, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting June 9.

Lee Namcheol, Governor of Goryeong County, stated, "This advanced program goes beyond simple experiences and is a specialized hands-on program that fosters problem-solving skills and convergent thinking. It will provide students with a meaningful opportunity to prepare for the future."

Detailed information about the application process and the program can be found on the official websites of the Goryeong County Office and the Goryeong County Education Development Committee.
