Five Categories Including Culture and Sports, Industry, and Public Service Saemaeul Awards
Imsil County in North Jeolla Province is accepting nominations for candidates for the 44th Imsil County Citizen's Award until June 20, ahead of the 63rd Imsil County Citizen's Day, which will be held in October.
According to the county on June 4, the Citizen's Award is presented to residents who have brought honor to their hometown and made significant contributions to the stability and development of the local community.
There are a total of five nomination categories: the Culture and Sports Award for those who have contributed to the promotion of local culture and sports; the Industry Award for those who have contributed to the development and growth of local industries; the Public Service and Saemaeul Award for those who have improved the welfare of residents through volunteer activities in public industries; the Hometown Love Award for those who have dedicated themselves to the development of the region and the unity of residents; and the Filial Piety Award for those who have widely practiced and been recognized for exemplary filial conduct.
Candidates may be recommended by heads of related organizations, social groups, schools, departments, and township offices. Eligible nominees include residents currently living in Imsil County or those originally from Imsil County. Applications must be submitted to the township or town office along with a nomination form, a copy of the resident registration, and supporting documents for achievements.
