Yecheon County Launches Summer Semester Programs at Early Childhood Creative Culture Center

14 Customized Courses Tailored to Developmental Stages
Strong Response from Local Preschool Children and Families

The Early Childhood Creative Culture Center, operated by Yecheon County in Gyeongbuk, began its summer semester program on June 1.

This summer semester program is being held at the I Sarang Safe Care Center in Yecheon-eup and the Yecheon County Complex Community Center, with about 200 preschool children and their guardians participating. The program runs for two months, from June to July, and consists of a total of 14 courses?two more than the previous semester.


Previously, the Early Childhood Creative Culture Center operated its regular spring semester program starting in April, with 162 participants. The one-day classes held in April and May also attracted about 230 participants, receiving a positive response.


This summer semester features systematic programs tailored to the developmental stages of children. For infants' physical development, courses such as "Growing Strong!", "Tiny Body Play," and "Brain Gym" are offered. Ballet classes including "Giselle Ballet," "Swan Ballet," and "Aurora Ballet" are also available to help correct posture and support physical development in children.


In addition, various experiential play programs are being offered, such as "Mom and Clay" to stimulate the children's five senses, as well as "Ricogen Block" and "Ricogen Play" to support fine motor skills and brain development. These programs are attracting high interest from parents.


One parent who participated in the program said, "I am very satisfied because I can build a bond with my child through various experiences," adding, "The Creative Culture Center is a great help in raising children."


Yoon Sunhee, Director of Resident Happiness at Yecheon County, stated, "We are focusing on supporting children's growth and development and creating an environment where parents can raise their children with peace of mind," and added, "We will continue to provide high-quality programs to help address the low birthrate issue."


Meanwhile, the Early Childhood Creative Culture Center plans to sequentially operate regular courses for the fall and winter semesters until December, and will also continue to offer monthly one-day classes in the last week of each month to further enhance program diversity and accessibility.
