HIT! K-Job STAR is an audition-style project presentation event designed to enhance the employability of trainees in the KDT (K-Digital Training) program at the Seoul Employment Center. Since its launch in 2022, a total of 229 trainees have participated in 13 events, with 129 of them having secured employment.

Starting this year, the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office expanded the eligibility for the event to include not only KDT trainees at the Seoul Employment Center, but also trainees and graduates seeking IT jobs in the Seoul area, in order to spread best practices in employment support programs. This marked the first time a coding competition was held by a regional office.

For this year's competition, 40 participants with the highest scores were selected from among 213 people (98 trainees and 115 graduates) who participated in the online preliminary round on May 15. Among these, the top 10 high scorers, including one Grand Prize winner and two Excellence Award winners, received the Seoul Regional Director’s Award. All participants are eligible for employment support benefits, such as portfolio review and feedback.

Kwon Taeseong, Director of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office, stated, "I hope this event serves as an opportunity for job seekers aspiring to work in IT to directly assess and strengthen their practical skills," and added, "I wish for all participating trainees to achieve meaningful results in the challenging job market through their experience in this competition."

Meanwhile, the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office plans to hold a special employment lecture by an active developer on June 9 at the Seoul Employment Center as part of the "To get the Job" program, aimed at IT job seekers preparing for coding tests.
