"Support for Eco-friendly Policy Initiatives"
On the 30th, around 300 workers in the paper straw industry under the Special Committee on Eco-friendly Resource Circulation announced their support for Lee Jae Myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea.
Kang Min-gu, head of the Public Communication Promotion Team for Gyeonggi Province, Choi Kwang-hyun, chairperson of the Special Committee, and Jeong Jin-ho, head of the Paper Straw Countermeasures Council, along with about 20 other key figures, expressed strong support for Lee at the National Assembly Main Building on the afternoon of the 30th. Their goal was to promote "the development of the eco-friendly industry and active support for restoring the postponed policy of distributing eco-friendly paper straws." They expressed strong agreement with Lee's "eco-friendly policy initiatives" and proposed various policies to ensure the sustainable growth of the eco-friendly industry.

At the event, Park Chan-dae, chief executive of the election campaign committee, urged, "Please make every effort to revitalize eco-friendly industrial policies that have stagnated under the previous administration, and let our businesspeople and workers do their utmost in this presidential election to put an end to the forces of rebellion."
Shin Jung-hoon, head of the Organization Headquarters, said, "I hope you will act as an organization to promote Lee's eco-friendly pledges," while Yeom Tae-young, deputy head of the Organization Headquarters, emphasized, "We must actively encourage many workers in the eco-friendly industry to participate in the election and vote."
Kang Min-gu, head of the Public Communication Promotion Team, requested, "Please become a field organization that informs businesspeople and workers in the eco-friendly industry that Lee is truly the candidate who best understands and supports the livelihoods of the people."
Choi Kwang-hyun, chairperson of the Special Committee on Eco-friendly Resource Circulation, stated, "It is time for industry stakeholders who have been watching Lee to take the lead and move toward a true Republic of Korea." Jeong Jin-ho, vice chairperson of the Special Committee, emphasized, "We will continue to propose various policies to secure sales channels and support distribution activities for products."
Meanwhile, the Public Communication Promotion Team of the Organization Headquarters is composed of 17 provincial branches, 3 overseas branches, and more than 500 special committees.
