During the event, the city will offer a variety of programs?including hands-on experiences, special lectures, exhibitions, and forums?so that citizens can experience and practice the value of the environment and the meaning of circularity in their daily lives.

On June 5, a special environmental lecture titled "Forest, and Us" will be delivered by Lee Youmi, former director of the National Arboretum. From June 4 to 7, the Lifelong Learning Center exhibition hall will feature "Gwangmyeong Is in Circulation," an exhibition focused on the circulation of resources and nature.

On June 7, an environmental education experience event with the theme "Circulation, Connecting Me and the Earth" will be held at the marble plaza of the Gwangmyeong Citizen Gymnasium. At this event, 25 experiential booths covering various environmental topics?including upcycling, waste separation, and ecological conservation?will be available. To participate, each individual must bring one tumbler or one transparent PET bottle.

Participants in the event will receive both Gwangmyeong City Climate Militia carbon neutrality points and Gyeonggi Province Climate Action Opportunity Income points, as well as one hour of volunteer credit from the Korean Red Cross. Pre-registered participants will also receive a small commemorative gift.

On June 13, the Lifelong Learning Center will host a citizen participation forum titled "Talking About Circulation." The forum will discuss the realities of plastic use, institutional issues and possible improvements, and practical actions that can be taken in daily life.

Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong, stated, "We planned this event so that Gwangmyeong citizens can go beyond learning about the environment to actually practice and take action together with the local community," adding, "Participating in the event itself will be a meaningful experience in becoming an active agent of environmental action."
