Seoul City Conducts Director-Level Promotions

Scheduled Transfers Effective July 1

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has carried out promotions for director-level (Grade 3) officials.


On May 30, the city announced, "We have nominated 11 candidates for promotion to Grade 3 director positions, who will help realize the vision of the 8th popularly elected administration's 'Companion and Attractive Special City Seoul' initiative."

The candidates for promotion are as follows: Kim Gyuryong, Spokesperson; Park Sookhee, Head of Low Birthrate Affairs; Kim Hyungrae, Head of Planning; Kim Gyuri, Director of Cultural Policy; Lee Byungcheol, Director of Economic Policy; Kim Hyunjung, Director of Disaster and Safety Policy; Lee Changhyun, Director of Autonomous Administration; Kim Gwangdeok, Director of Human Resources; Kim Changhwan, Head of Technical Review; Shim Jaewook, Director of Southeast Region Projects; and Kim Yusik, Director of Housing Renewal, for a total of 11 individuals.


Including these individuals, director-level and higher personnel transfers are scheduled to take effect on July 1.


Lee Dongryul, Director General of Administration for the Seoul Metropolitan Government, stated, "We have selected department heads who have delivered results in various policy areas and worked to improve the quality of life for citizens," adding, "Seoul will continue to actively promote talented individuals in order to respond proactively to the changing administrative environment and provide better administrative services to citizens."
