10 Million Won Provided Per Household Upon Childbirth
For Multiple Births, Grant Amount Determined by Number of Newborns
A Total of 63 Employees Have Received the Grant as of This Month
Hanwha Group has continued to implement its "Hanwha Childcare Companion Grant" program, which provides 10 million won in cash to employees' households upon the birth of a child, as part of its efforts to support employees with childcare.
On May 29, Hanwha Galleria announced that it had provided 20 million won to the family of Gangnam Kyung, Manager of the Hardware Development Team 2, who gave birth to twins last month. This marks the first case in which the grant has been awarded to a family with multiple children in this division. Under Hanwha's Childcare Companion Grant program, each household receives 10 million won per childbirth, regardless of the number of times, and in the case of multiple births, the amount is determined in proportion to the number of newborns.
Manager Gang commented, "Since our childcare expenses are double those of others, I was very worried from the time I became pregnant. Thanks to the company's generous support, I truly felt as if I was raising my twins together with the company."
In the distribution and service division, Geonmyung Kim, Assistant Manager of the Hanwha Galleria Customer Support Team, who also welcomed twins last month, became the first recipient of the 20 million won grant. Kim said, "I had many practical concerns about childcare, but the company's significant support gave me courage. As the program's name suggests, I really feel like the company is accompanying me on my childcare journey." Kim added, "The burden of childcare has lessened, and my loyalty to the company has grown. I hope that such practical support measures for childcare will continue in the future."
According to Hanwha Group, as of this month, a total of 63 employees have received the Childcare Companion Grant. This includes 24 employees in the machinery division (10 from Semitec, 6 each from Vision and Momentum, and 2 from Robotics) and 39 in the distribution and service division (15 from Hotel & Resort, 9 each from Galleria and Foodtech, 5 from Aqua Planet, and 1 from FG Korea).
Representatives from Hanwha Vision and Hanwha Galleria stated, "The Childcare Companion Grant program is not simply about providing financial support, but about the company sharing in the challenges and burdens of its employees. We will continue to develop various support measures to help employees balance work and family life."
