L&K Biomed, a spinal implant company, announced on the 30th that its U.S. subsidiary, L&K Spine, participated in the Global Spine Congress 2025 (GSC), one of the world's largest spine congresses, held in Brazil starting from the 28th.
The GSC is one of the largest global spine congresses, bringing together spine specialists, researchers, and medical device industry professionals from around the world each year. The event features lectures by leading authorities in the field, sharing of clinical experiences, and presentation of research findings.
This year's GSC in Brazil drew significant attention, with approximately 4,000 registered participants?more than double the number from previous years. The company introduced its products to numerous medical professionals and industry representatives. L&K Biomed expects this event to serve as a crucial turning point for expanding into the South American market and enhancing brand recognition.
At this year's GSC, L&K Biomed showcased its main products in the spinal pipeline, including height-expandable cages such as "Passlock-TM," "Passlock-TA," and "ExcelFix-XTP."
Passlock-TM is a posterior and posterolateral insertion height-expandable cage, which is the most frequently used surgical technique. It is a core growth product for L&K Biomed, having been used in 3,780 surgeries in the United States. Passlock-TA is an anterior insertion height-expandable cage, designed for procedures that approach through the patient's abdomen and are primarily used for the lower lumbar spine. Its convenience has reduced the burden on medical professionals. ExcelFix-XTP is a lateral insertion height-expandable cage product, holding a patent for its world-first curved design and technology.
L&K Biomed stated, "The congress provided an excellent opportunity to actively present our height-expandable cage products to numerous medical professionals and industry representatives in South America, including Brazil, where we have already signed product supply contracts." The company added, "In particular, the high level of interest and demand for height-expandable cage products confirmed the potential for growth and strategic importance in the South American market, and we expect to expand our product supply network as a result."
