Daehong Communications announced on the 23rd that it has signed a licensing agreement with the global intellectual property (IP) character "Cool Cats."

Cool Cats is a non-fungible token (NFT) project launched in 2021 on the Ethereum blockchain. The collection consists of a total of 9,999 cat character NFTs. It has built its recognition around its main character, the blue cat "Blue," as well as "Chugs," "Jo," and "Ardi."

Cool Cats has developed a web animation series called "The Milk Chug" and has held pop-up events in major global cities such as Los Angeles in the United States and London in the United Kingdom. In addition, it has increased its popularity by releasing limited-edition merchandise and products for fans.

Daehong Communications plans to launch limited-edition Cool Cats products this summer. The company intends to actively collaborate so that Cool Cats can grow into a popular brand in Korea.

This contract marks the second such partnership for Daehong Communications following its partnership with the global IP "Pudgy Penguins" in April last year, as part of its efforts to strengthen its content business.

Kang Taeho, Head of Future Growth at Daehong Communications, stated, "Cool Cats is regarded as a global character IP with strong potential for offline expansion beyond its origins as an NFT-based digital asset," adding, "Through this partnership, we plan to develop a multifaceted content business to help Cool Cats successfully establish itself in the Korean market."
