On May 20, Chungnam Province announced that it will implement the 'Impact Investment Company Consulting and Development Project' as a program to accelerate the growth of resident companies in the Chungnam Social Economy Innovation Town.
Impact investment refers to an investment approach that seeks profit while also considering sustainability, such as solving social and environmental issues.
The main programs newly introduced this year include: ▲ establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for each company required for impact investment; ▲ training on the preparation and presentation (pitching) of company information materials (IR decks); ▲ consulting to strengthen business management; and ▲ holding company presentations (IR) and investor meetings targeting accelerators (ACs) and venture capitalists (VCs).
This project will begin recruiting companies from early next month, targeting both resident companies of the Chungnam Social Economy Innovation Town and social economy enterprises within the province.
Participating companies will receive additional points when applying for the 'Social Economy Innovation Town Resident Company Business Development Support Project,' which is scheduled to be announced next month.
The project is organized by the Chungnam Social Economy Network, in collaboration with MYSC (My Social Company), an institution specializing in impact investment and an accelerator (AC).
An official from the province stated, "This month, 17 companies applied for the program to strengthen the investment attraction capabilities of the Chungnam social economy, demonstrating high demand for impact investment financing among social economy enterprises. We will continue to develop and implement support measures so that resident companies in the Social Economy Innovation Town can develop new revenue models and accelerate their growth through related consulting."
