Incheon Office of Education and Army Personnel Command Sign First Nationwide Agreement to Foster Military Talent

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 20th that it had signed a business agreement with the Army Personnel Command to foster military professionals.


This agreement was established to provide students with opportunities to explore military-related career paths and to help secure Army personnel. The two organizations plan to support career education and promotion of military officer recruitment for high schools operating Army-specialized programs, non-commissioned officer departments, or related clubs.

Currently, Incheon operates two Army-specialized high schools, one Navy-specialized high school, one Marine Corps-specialized high school, and one high school with a non-commissioned officer department. According to the city office of education, this is the first official agreement signed with the Army Personnel Command among the 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide.


Dosunghun, Superintendent of the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Military service should become more than a simple duty; it should be an opportunity for growth, professionalism, and leadership. Education and the military must work together to open career pathways." He added, "This agreement is a shared commitment to ensure that students can demonstrate their capabilities in the military and transition smoothly into society."
