Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province announced on May 20 that it participated as the representative of South Chungcheong Province in the "2025 Land Information Challenge Cadastral and Drone Survey Competition" organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and won the Excellence Award.
The Cadastral and Drone Survey Competition, held at the Busan Port International Convention Center, took place over two days until May 16, with more than 300 participants including public officials from local governments across the country and professionals involved in cadastral surveying.
The competition aimed to enhance the professional capabilities of workers in the cadastral and spatial information fields and to foster future talent. Hongseong County competed as the representative of South Chungcheong Province in the cadastral and drone survey category and received the Excellence Award.
The drone survey category evaluated participants' comprehensive operational capabilities and deliverable preparation skills in accordance with relevant regulations, such as the Drone Cadastral Survey Regulations.
An official from the county stated, "This award is an opportunity to have Hongseong County's outstanding capabilities in the drone and surveying fields recognized," adding, "We will continue to nurture professionals with expertise and strive to further improve public services."
Meanwhile, Hongseong County has established itself as a leader in the drone and surveying fields by achieving consecutive results, including winning awards with excellent performances at the Drone Challenge and Cadastral and Drone Survey Competitions hosted by South Chungcheong Province in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
