The Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on May 19 that it had delivered the "Incheon Economic Sovereignty Agenda," which outlines new directions for the city's economic leap forward and the policy goals desired by the local business community, to the presidential candidates of both the People Power Party and the Democratic Party.
Together with the Incheon Economic Organizations Council and the Incheon Economic Justice Network, the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry established three main agendas: "Restoring Corporate Vitality and Establishing a Foundation for Growth," "Fostering Future Growth Engines," and "Enhancing Global Urban Competitiveness." In addition, they selected 10 key projects, 51 detailed tasks, and the top 10 long-standing wishes of the Incheon business community for the new administration.

The top 10 long-standing wishes include the early completion of the undergrounding of the Gyeongin Expressway by 2028, the expansion of artificial intelligence and smart factory adoption in Incheon industrial complexes, the abolition of the Capital Region Maintenance Planning Act, the conversion of Bupyeong and Juan National Industrial Complexes into advanced venture spaces, and the expansion of the Free Economic Zone, among others.
The Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry delivered the Incheon Economic Sovereignty Agenda to the Incheon City Party offices of the People Power Party and the Democratic Party on May 16 and 19, respectively, and requested that these proposals be reflected in the presidential candidates' campaign pledges.
Jubong Park, chairman of the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, "Although the Incheon economy continues to grow, there remain many issues to address, such as the weakening competitiveness of manufacturing, increasing corporate regulations and worsening labor shortages, and being left out of policy support due to capital region regulations. We hope that the presidential candidates will incorporate the proposals of the Incheon business community into their pledges, leading to the realization of stable policies."
The Incheon City Party offices of both parties stated, "The proposals contain many important issues that must be resolved for the development of the regional economy and industry. We will do our best to ensure that they are reflected in the campaign pledges."
