"Yanji: An Optimal Region for Local Market Adaptation"
Collaboration on Consulting and Talent Sourcing
The Korea Venture Business Association announced on May 20 that it will collaborate with Yanji, a key hub in China's three northeastern provinces, to promote various initiatives aimed at facilitating the entry of venture companies and startups into the Chinese market.
Yanji is a region with excellent geographical proximity and cultural affinity to Korea, providing an environment where domestic companies can quickly adapt to the local market. The presence of university infrastructure, such as Yanbian University, makes it easy to secure talent. In addition, labor costs are relatively low, offering advantages in terms of cost efficiency.
The association explained, "There is a continuous increase in demand for Korean technology and products across various sectors, including distribution, bio, healthcare, beauty, food, and construction. As a result, Yanji is gaining attention as a strategic base for entering the Chinese domestic market."
The association plans to implement a comprehensive support program in partnership with Yanji, covering the entire process of entering the Chinese market. Specifically, the program will provide ▲local office space and one-on-one consulting ▲talent sourcing ▲connections to major Chinese distribution platforms (such as Longmart, Taobao, Pinduoduo, TikTok Global, Xiaohongshu, and others). In addition, venture companies and startups will be able to participate in local project development contracts in the three northeastern provinces.
An association official stated, "Yanji, China, is a strategic base that allows Korean venture companies and startups to enter the Chinese market more stably," adding, "The association will actively support these efforts to ensure they lead to tangible business results."
