Gyeonggi Office of Education Launches "Gyeonggi Shared School Student-Initiated Program" at 311 Organizations

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will officially launch the "Gyeonggi Shared School Student-Initiated Program," which is designed to support students' continuous growth and the development of self-directed learning by linking local resources.


The Gyeonggi Shared School Student-Initiated Program is a project that provides step-by-step, customized learning for students by connecting topics proposed by students through planning workshops with a variety of resources outside the school.


The student-initiated program is divided into a basic stage and an advanced stage, and is operated by a total of 311 organizations, including individuals, groups, and institutions in the province, utilizing after-school hours, weekends, and school vacations.

The basic stage is operated by 242 organizations and offers themed activities such as media, arts, and ecology to help students explore career paths. The advanced stage is provided by 69 organizations and consists of project-based themed activities that focus on future competencies such as entrepreneurship and digital skills, or reflect the unique characteristics of the local community.


An official from the provincial office of education stated, "We will strengthen our support so that students can learn and grow in a self-directed manner and expand the educational ecosystem in collaboration with the local community."
