The Innovation Premier 1000 is a program in which the Financial Services Commission and 12 industry-related ministries collaborate to select key companies in each sector that will drive innovative growth in the Korean economy. Selected companies receive tailored support from policy financial institutions through the end of next year. Drap was included in this selection after being recognized for its excellence in the AI field by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Lee Juwan, CEO of Drap, stated, "Based on this support, we will accelerate our entry into the global market and focus on developing even more innovative model features to create new value in the e-commerce ecosystem."
Drapart is a service that uses generative AI technology to automatically generate product photo backgrounds, lighting, shadows, and models, enabling production time to be reduced to a single day and costs to be cut by more than 90%. Its customer base ranges from major e-commerce platforms such as Cheil Worldwide, Coupang, CJ Olive Young, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free, and BGF Retail to small online shops and individual sellers.
Since the launch of its service, Drap has focused on advancing its AI technology through continuous feature development and large-scale updates. In addition to core features such as product image background generation, background removal, bundled products, and background extension, the company has recently made significant enhancements to its AI model capabilities. It now offers six features, including product styling and product usage cuts, using virtual models of various nationalities, genders, and ages. This has received strong responses from small online shops that find the cost of hiring real models burdensome. By adding a feature that generates five-second moving model videos, Drap has further increased the utility of its service for social media marketing.
Since the beginning of the year, Drapart has accelerated the advancement of its service by launching a series of innovative features. In January, it introduced an AI ad auto-generation feature that creates a finished advertisement in about one minute with only product photos and information. A month later, in February, it launched an AI writing feature, making it easy to generate content for blogs, social media, and detailed product pages.
