Ulsan Office of Education Launches On-site Support for "Ttuntteun Anshim Kindergarten" to Strengthen Health and Safety

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Changsu) will launch on-site support for the “Ttuntteun Anshim Kindergarten” initiative for two weeks starting May 19, aiming to strengthen kindergartens' capabilities in health and safety and create an educational environment where parents can feel assured.

This on-site support is intended to improve the quality of health and safety, which is one of the kindergarten evaluation indicators, and will be conducted at a total of 18 kindergartens, including 7 public and 11 private institutions.

Experts specializing in health and safety will visit the sites in person to meticulously check whether each evaluation item is met and provide tailored consulting to help kindergartens establish a safe environment for early childhood education.

The “Ttuntteun Anshim Kindergarten” initiative has been implemented since 2018 to create a safe educational environment where parents can confidently entrust their children. By last year, a total of 160 kindergartens had been designated and operated under this program. Through the current round of on-site support, health and safety inspections for all kindergartens in the Ulsan area are expected to be completed.

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to conduct a parent satisfaction survey in the second half of the year to assess the actual effectiveness of the program and actively promote outstanding cases through the office’s website and the “Kindergarten Information” portal.

An official from the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education stated, “The ‘Ttuntteun Anshim Kindergarten’ project, which began with 18 kindergartens in 2018, has steadily expanded over the past eight years, significantly improving the level of safety management in local kindergartens. Starting from 2026, we plan to expand the program beyond health and safety to other areas, further creating an early childhood education environment where parents can feel even more assured.”
