This year, 5,490 candidates passed the written exam for the Grade 9 National Civil Service Open Competitive Recruitment.
On May 8, the Ministry of Personnel Management announced the successful candidates of the written examination, which was held on April 5, through the Cyber National Examination Center (gosi.kr).
Among the successful candidates, 4,597 were for administrative positions and 893 for science and technology positions. In the recruitment category for persons with disabilities, where 256 positions were available, 170 candidates passed. In the recruitment category for low-income applicants, where 124 positions were available, 161 candidates passed.
The average age of the successful candidates was 29.5 years, slightly lower than last year’s average of 29.8 years. By age group, 3,374 candidates (61.5%) were in their 20s, 1,776 (32.3%) were in their 30s, 290 (5.3%) were in their 40s, 43 (0.8%) were aged 50 or older, and 7 (0.1%) were aged 18 to 19.
There were 3,024 male successful candidates (55.1%) and 2,466 female candidates (44.9%). Due to the Gender Equality Recruitment Target System, 72 additional candidates were accepted across 10 recruitment categories, including educational administration, career counseling, immigration control, transmission technology, and customs. The Gender Equality Recruitment Target System is a policy that allows additional successful candidates of a particular gender to be accepted if the proportion of successful candidates of that gender is less than 30% of the planned number of recruits.
The interview examination is scheduled to take place over six days, from May 28 to June 2. The interview will be evaluated based on four criteria: communication and empathy, dedication and passion, creativity and innovation, and ethics and responsibility.
Candidates who wish to withdraw from the interview examination may register their withdrawal through the Cyber National Examination Center between May 9 and May 12. The final list of successful candidates will be announced through the Cyber National Examination Center on June 20.
