Opening at Jamsil Sports Complex in October
Tickets available starting May 15
The world-renowned entertainment group Cirque du Soleil will open its Kooza show at the Big Top in Jamsil Sports Complex, Seoul, on October 11, 2025.
Production company Mast International announced on May 8 that tickets for the Seoul performances of Kooza will be available for purchase through NOL Ticket and Yes24 Ticket starting at 2:00 p.m. on May 15. Early bird discounts of up to 15% will be offered for tickets purchased by June 1.
Kooza will begin its Asia tour this month, starting in Hong Kong. In Korea, the show will first be staged in Busan before coming to Seoul. The Busan performances are scheduled to run from August 21 to September 28 at the Big Top in Shinsegae Centum City, with ticket sales having started on April 30. Following Busan, the Seoul run will open on October 11 and continue for nearly three months until December 28.
Since its premiere in 2007, Kooza has been performed more than 5,000 times in over 70 cities across 23 countries worldwide. The cumulative audience has reached 8 million people.
In Korea, Kooza attracted significant attention in 2018 by drawing 205,000 spectators, achieving a total revenue of 25.8 billion KRW and a seat occupancy rate of 95%.
Kooza fully embodies the essence of Cirque du Soleil, featuring high-level acrobatics, bold slapstick comedy, and spectacular stage art that elicit awe from audiences. The story follows a magical Trickster who leads the protagonist, Innocent, into a strange and delightful world, taking the audience on a journey of self-discovery that delivers surprise, emotion, and laughter all at once.
This year's production will introduce the elegant and dazzling aerial hoop act, promising an even more innovative and overwhelming performance than seven years ago.
The Seoul run of Kooza is officially sponsored through the cultural and arts support program "Mercedes-Benz Selection" by Mercedes-Benz Korea.
