National Mokpo University Library Launches Department Accreditation Evaluation Support Service

Enhancing Curriculum Quality and Major Competencies
Practical Support for Departmental Accreditation Evaluation Preparation

The library at National Mokpo University (President Song Hacheol) announced on May 8, 2025, that it has been actively implementing the "Department Accreditation Evaluation Support Service" since the first half of 2025 to enhance the quality of academic curricula and strengthen major competencies.

This service has been established to provide practical support for each department's accreditation evaluation preparations by utilizing the library's human and material infrastructure.

The main areas of support include: ▲assisting departments in stocking major-related books and directly supporting curriculum operation through semester-based book lending; ▲offering academic information literacy education and operating customized information utilization competency programs for enrolled students; ▲expanding new major-related resources and continuously securing up-to-date materials relevant to each major; and ▲providing usage statistics and supplying data on the utilization status of major-related books and academic databases by department.

Through this service, each department can systematically collect and manage the performance data needed for accreditation evaluation preparations. By efficiently utilizing the library's information resources and services, departments will be able to establish a more effective educational environment for strengthening major competencies.

Library Director Yoo Changyun stated, "This service goes beyond simple material provision and emphasizes the library's strategic role in achieving departmental educational goals and successfully obtaining accreditation evaluation." He added, "The library will continue to work closely with the university's academic community and further expand its support to enhance global competitiveness."
