"Run and Have Fun"... Siheung City Hosts Youth Day Events

'Siwaho Youth Environmental Marathon' to Be Held at Turtle Island
Various Programs Including Hands-on Activities and Street Culture Also Planned

The Siheung City Youth Foundation in Gyeonggi Province will hold youth events in major areas of the city on May 10 to mark 'Siheung City Youth Day'.

'Siheung City Youth Day' is designated as the second Saturday of May every year under the city's Youth Basic Ordinance, and this year marks its third anniversary.

At 9 a.m. on this day, the 'Siwaho Youth Environmental Marathon' will take place around the Turtle Island Marina area. The event, themed 'Eco Run Earth · Eco Runners · Eco Run Us', will bring together more than 400 youths and local residents. The marathon will feature 5 km and 10 km runs along the Siwaho waterfront, Siwaho seawall, and Turtle Island Marina, as well as a 2.8 km family walk.

In the afternoon, the commemorative event 'Heungzip (ZIP) Festa' will be held on the front yard of the Siheung City Youth Center in Daeya-dong and the surrounding area. The event will feature 'Youth Harmony Plaza' experience booths and youth performances, while the indoor Hanullim Hall of the center will host the 'Siheung City Youth eSports School Competition'. In the 'Heung Zone' along the shopping street in front of the center, street culture programs such as random play dance and street karaoke will be available for youths to participate in freely.
