On May 7, Pocheon City explained that the 'Pocheon Station ○○ Park' private rental housing project, which is being promoted in the Gachae-ri area of Sinbuk-myeon, is recruiting association members without following the required housing construction permit procedures. The city noted that this may constitute a violation of legal procedures and requested citizens to be particularly cautious.

The private cooperative leading the project is reportedly operating a promotional center in the Minlak-dong area of Uijeongbu City, where it is recruiting founding members and investors for the association.

According to the 'Special Act on Private Rental Housing,' in order for a founding member of a private rental cooperative?established to supply private rental housing and similar homes?to recruit association members, they must first report the recruitment to Pocheon City and then recruit members through a public process.

However, the current private rental housing project is recruiting association members without completing the required housing construction permit procedures. In response, the city is taking steps to prevent potential harm, including posting a cautionary notice on the Pocheon City Hall website.

An official from Pocheon City stated, "If someone joins as an association member before the project is finalized and then suffers damages such as project delays or cancellations, they will not be eligible for legal protection from administrative agencies," adding, "It is important to verify sufficient information and make careful decisions."

Meanwhile, Pocheon City announced that if any additional legal violations are identified in relation to this matter, it will take action in cooperation with relevant agencies.
