"Jeong Cheongrae and Kim Yongmin's Bills Are for Shielding Purposes"
"Legislative Overreach Denying Separation of Powers Must Stop"
Kim Eunhye, a member of the People Power Party, strongly criticized Lee Jaemyung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, and the Democratic Party. She raised issues with the Democratic Party's response to the Supreme Court's decision to overturn and remand Lee's case for violating the Public Official Election Act with a guilty verdict.
On May 3, Kim wrote on Facebook, "Lee Jaemyung is now set to become a five-time convict, surpassing his previous four convictions," referring to the Democratic Party's reaction to the ruling as "collective madness." She said, "Calling it a judicial coup, claiming the Supreme Court has committed an act of insurrection? Is this even a country?" She added, "In the face of collective madness, the independence of the judiciary is being trampled."

Kim especially criticized the Democratic Party's attacks on Supreme Court Chief Justice Cho Heedae, saying, "They have launched an all-out offensive against the judiciary, forgetting that the Chief Justice was appointed by former President Moon Jaein." She pointed out that "Park Jinyoung, former deputy director of the Democratic Research Institute, called Chief Justice Cho's actions 'the end of the separation of powers,'" and argued that this is "a direct denial of constitutional principles and republicanism."
Kim claimed that the Democratic Party is pushing for unreasonable legislation to protect Lee Jaemyung. She criticized, "They have proposed a law to suspend criminal trials if someone is elected president (Jeong Cheongrae), submitted an amendment to the Court Organization Act to increase the number of Supreme Court justices to 30 (Kim Yongmin), and continue to push for laws tailored for the benefit of Lee Jaemyung alone."
She continued, "In the era of dynasties, the sole purpose of sycophants was to protect the king. That is exactly what the Democratic Party is doing now." She urged, "Stop the parliamentary coup and legislative insurrection aimed at shielding Lee Jaemyung."
Kim also criticized the Democratic Party for undermining constitutional order, stating, "The Democratic Party is shaking the constitutional order and destroying state affairs by leveraging its majority in the National Assembly. Together with the people, we will definitely prevent legislative dictatorship, runaway parliament, and the destruction of constitutional government."
At the end of her post, she added, "The Democratic Party knows nothing but how to manufacture impeachments and bad laws," and vowed, "Together with the people, we will firmly stand against the Lee Jaemyung faction's attempt to destroy state affairs by relying on their majority in the National Assembly."
