On this day, Seongnam City employees promoted the Climate Companion Card to citizens at Yatap Station. Inside the subway, city employees distributed promotional leaflets to inform citizens about the benefits of the Climate Companion Card and to encourage active use.

The Climate Companion Card is an integrated commuter pass that allows unlimited use of Seoul city buses, village buses, subways, and the public bicycle system 'Ttareungi' for a monthly fee of 65,000 won. However, the Shinbundang Line is excluded from the areas covered by the card.

Seongnam City signed a "Climate Companion Card Participation Agreement" with Seoul City in December 2024. With this expansion, the card can now also be used on the Suin-Bundang Line (Gachon University to Ori section) and the Gyeonggang Line (Pangyo to Imae section).

As a result, the number of subway stations in Seongnam City where the Climate Companion Card can be used has increased to 20, including the existing 7 stations on Line 8 (Moran to Namwirye).

In addition, the Climate Companion Card can already be used on 11 Seoul city-licensed bus routes passing through Seongnam (302, 303, 333, 343, 345, 422, 440, 452, 3420, 4425, 4432), as well as at certain subway stations in Goyang, Gwacheon, Gimpo, Namyangju, and Guri, which have signed agreements with Seoul City.

A Seongnam City official said, "We expect that expanding the areas where the Climate Companion Card can be used will significantly reduce transportation costs for citizens commuting between Seongnam and Seoul," adding, "We will continue to actively promote and provide information about the card to further improve convenience for citizens."

This expansion of the Climate Companion Card service area is expected to greatly enhance transportation convenience for citizens traveling between Seongnam and Seoul, while also reducing transportation costs.
