The city of Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, announced on May 1 that it will hold the "2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo Short-form Video Contest" until May 21.
This contest has been organized to support the bid for international event approval for the Expo, and to widely promote the excellence of Nonsan strawberries and the vision of the Expo both domestically and internationally.
Any citizen of the Republic of Korea can participate in the contest, either individually or as a team, by creating and submitting a short-form video that showcases the appeal of the "2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Expo" and "Nonsan strawberries."
The contest themes include: ▲ "To the World with Nonsan Strawberry Expo," ▲ "Wishing for Approval of the Nonsan Strawberry Expo, I Am the Ambassador!" ▲ "Nonsan Strawberry Promotion Challenge, I Will Promote the Strawberry Expo," as well as an open category for other creative topics.
Entries will be judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and overall quality. A total of 10 winners will be selected, including ▲ 2 Seolhyang Awards ▲ 2 Kingsberry Awards ▲ 2 Vitaberry Awards ▲ 4 Honorable Mentions. Winners will receive gift certificates for the "Nonsan Army Sergeant Mall" worth a total of 2.2 million KRW.
Mayor Baek Seonghyeon stated, "This contest will be a valuable opportunity to share the vision of the Nonsan Strawberry Expo with the world and to newly highlight the appeal of Nonsan strawberries," adding, "As the first international strawberry industry expo to be held in Nonsan, we look forward to the active interest and participation of the public."
