National Pukyong University and the National Institute of Fisheries Science have joined forces to nurture talent in advanced convergence technologies in the fisheries and marine sectors.
Pukyong University announced on May 1 that it had signed a business agreement with the National Institute of Fisheries Science at the university headquarters on April 30, aimed at regional development and the cultivation of creative and convergence-oriented future talent.
The signing ceremony was attended by Pukyong University President Sanghoon Bae and Director Yongseok Choi of the National Institute of Fisheries Science.

This agreement is part of Pukyong University's "Blue Ocean Tech" specialized talent development strategy, which is being promoted through the "Glocal University 30" project. Blue Ocean Tech is an innovative technology field that transforms the traditional fisheries and marine industries into high value-added industries by integrating advanced technologies.
In its project proposal, Pukyong University set a goal of nurturing approximately 1,000 Blue Ocean Tech talents annually.
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to cooperate in the mutual exchange of resources, collaborative projects for regional development, the cultivation of convergence-type professionals, and strengthening the competitiveness of regionally specialized industries.
