Second Location Opens Following Yeouido Last Year
Differentiated with Limited-Time "Beef Gondrebap" Menu
Kyochon F&B announced on April 30 that its buckwheat cuisine brand, Memildanpyeon, has opened its second location at Gangdong I-Park The River Mall, a mixed-use complex in eastern Seoul.
Memildanpyeon is Kyochon’s premium buckwheat cuisine brand, which reinterprets the traditional Korean ingredient, buckwheat, with a modern touch to offer a healthy meal. The company opened the first Memildanpyeon location in the Yeouido commercial district of Seoul in February 2024.
The second Memildanpyeon location covers approximately 168.6 square meters and offers a total of 58 seats. It is situated on the fourth floor dining area of Gangdong I-Park The River Mall, located in Goduk Biz Valley, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, where commercial, office, and cultural facilities are integrated. Gangdong I-Park The River Mall is emerging as a new retail hub, with major retailers such as IKEA and CGV clustered nearby. The area also boasts a solid customer base, including residents of large newly built apartment complexes and office complexes in the vicinity.
Memildanpyeon plans to target a diverse range of customers, from families to business clientele, leveraging its strategic location.
The second Memildanpyeon location offers a variety of dishes made with 100% buckwheat noodles prepared fresh in-house every morning, including Memildanpyeon Bansang, Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodles, and Spicy Mixed Buckwheat Noodles, as well as various menu items using beef broth, such as Korean beef boiled slices. There are also limited-time menu options. The Beef Gondrebap is a rice dish featuring gondre (wild greens) rice topped with beef.
All tableware at Memildanpyeon is crafted from bangjja yugi (hand-forged bronzeware) by master artisan Lee Bongju, who is recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage holder, reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality even in its serving ware.
