The Daegu Happiness Promotion Institute for Social Services (Chairman Bae Ki-chul) will launch the 'All Ta (Olta)' transportation card support event for Daegu citizens starting May 1, 2025. This initiative is designed to promote the use of public transportation to practice carbon neutrality and to enhance transportation welfare for Daegu citizens.
The 'All Ta (Olta)' event carries the meanings of "everyone rides," "let's get on buses and subways," and "the right action to practice carbon neutrality." Its purpose is to encourage more citizens to use public transportation. The program has been continuously implemented since 2020 and marks its sixth year in 2025.
The event will run for five months, from May 1 to September 30. Eligible participants are Daegu citizens aged 14 or older who use public transportation (bus or urban rail) with a transportation card at least twice per month during the event period. Applications can be submitted online through the Daegu Happiness Promotion Institute website.
Each month, 440 winners will be selected by lottery to receive a physical transportation card worth 50,000 won, benefiting a total of 2,200 Daegu citizens. Those who are not selected may reapply in subsequent rounds for another chance. The lottery is conducted after verifying that participants have used public transportation at least twice in the month.
Through this initiative, the Daegu Happiness Promotion Institute aims to increase public transportation usage and contribute to reducing carbon emissions. By strengthening transportation welfare, the institute expects that citizens will be able to enjoy a more convenient and sustainable urban environment.
Bae Ki-chul, Chairman of the Daegu Happiness Promotion Institute, stated, "In an era where practicing carbon neutrality is urgent, we are promoting the 'All Ta' event as part of our institution's ESG management to encourage public transportation use. We hope that many citizens will participate, revitalizing public transportation usage and contributing to the happiness of Daegu citizens."
