Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that the 14th Hampyeong Calligraphy Association Exhibition, where visitors can appreciate works by local calligraphers, is being held until the 24th.

The calligraphy exhibition, which takes place at Powooheon in Geonji Village, Hakgyo-myeon, Hampyeong County, is organized by the Hampyeong Calligraphy Association. It serves not only to preserve and carry on the local calligraphy culture but also as a platform for artistic exchange within the community.

At the commemorative ceremony held on the 19th, over 100 people attended, including Lee Sangik, the governor of Hampyeong County, members of the Hampyeong Calligraphy Association, and calligraphers. As a pre-event, Seo Jaekyung, a calligrapher from Hampyeong, presented a calligraphy performance under the theme "Pilmujeopbi," which means "As the brush dances, butterflies fly." This piece symbolically expressed the artistic spirit of Hampyeong, known as the "Land of Butterflies."

At the awards ceremony held that day, Yoon Myunghee was selected for the "Hampyeong Calligraphy Award," and Park Yamo received the Achievement Award, each being recognized for their artistic accomplishments and contributions to the development of the association.
