The 64th Jeollanam-do Sports Festival, currently taking place in Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, is heating up with fierce competition among athletes on the second day of the event. On April 18, competitions were held in four sports: kendo, golf, basketball, and bowling, with golf being the first to conclude its schedule.

Hampyeong-gun claimed first place overall in golf, earning the first gold medal of this year’s festival, while Gwangyang-si and Suncheon-si tied for second place. At 11:50 a.m. on the same day, in the round of 16 soccer match held at Jangseongho Second Stadium, Jangseong-gun advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Naju-si in a penalty shootout.
