Jinan County Offers Youth Housing Expense Support... Up to 1.8 Million Won

Jinan County in North Jeolla Province is recruiting participants for its youth housing expense support program, aiming to alleviate the financial burden of housing for young residents and encourage them to settle in the region.

According to the county on April 18, the youth housing expense support program provides up to 1.8 million won in housing subsidies over one year, with 150,000 won per month, to young people who have signed a lease agreement and reside in the county.


Eligible applicants must be young people aged 18 to 45 who, as of the announcement date, have their resident registration in the county, have no home ownership, and have signed a lease agreement for either a jeonse (lump-sum deposit lease) or monthly rent.


For monthly rent, the rent must be 700,000 won or less. For jeonse, the deposit must not exceed 150 million won and the applicant must have a loan. Recipients will be selected through a screening process based on criteria such as income, length of residence, and age.


Applicants wishing to participate can apply in person at the Rural Vitality and Youth Support Team by May 16. Detailed application procedures and required documents can be found in the announcement posted on the county's website.


A county official stated, "We hope that the youth housing expense support program will help alleviate the financial burden of housing for young people in Jinan and serve as an opportunity to build a stable foundation for their lives," and added, "We encourage many young people in the county to participate."
