A Total of 437 Participants and 48.01 Million Won Raised
Celebratory Event with Yoo Namkyu to Be Held on the 18th
The "Jungsan Elementary, Middle, and High School Table Tennis Team National Representative Dream Project," a Hometown Love Donation initiative promoted by Cheongyang-gun, Chungnam Province, exceeded its fundraising goal and closed early.
According to the county on the 18th, this designated donation campaign began in December last year and raised 48.01 million won, surpassing the original goal of 46.61 million won by 1.4 million won. The campaign ended more than three months ahead of schedule. The number of participants was 437, more than 2.4 times higher than last year.
On this day, the county will host a celebratory event at the Jungsan High School gymnasium, inviting Seoul Olympic gold medalist Yoo Namkyu as a special guest to encourage the future table tennis prospects.
County Governor Kim Dongon said, "I would like to thank everyone who participated in the donation," adding, "We will continue to discover various designated donation projects to encourage more residents to take part."
Meanwhile, Cheongyang-gun is currently conducting its third designated donation project, "A Meal Together with Village Elders."
